Pukeko Team's Exciting First Week Back:

Welcome to Term 4! We trust you had a restful and enjoyable school holidays.

We are off to an exciting start this term, and what a week it has been!

In Maths, we've dived into the world of Measurement. Starting at length, we're learning how to make sense of all the numbers and units. It's like being a real-life detective, solving measurement mysteries!

Writing has started and we are looking at Poetry! This week, we've had a blast creating acrostic poems. We are looking forward to exploring some other different forms of Poetry in the coming weeks. 

Spelling has made an exciting comeback, and I must say, the number of kids acing their tests is on the rise! It's very exciting to hear about your dedication and practice at home. Keep up the fantastic work!

It has also been Fijian Language Week! We've looked at Fijian language and culture through various activities. From learning useful phrases to creating our own art!

What a great start to Term 4!

Ivy: "I have liked learning about New Zealand history"

Payton "I liked seeing my friends again and starting reading" 

Zeph "I liked playing outside in the playground"

Ella "I have liked learning about Fijian language" 

Kayden "My favourite part was getting 12/12 in my spelling" 

Harper "My favourite part was writing the acroustic poem with Mrs Merewether" 

Lilly "My favourite part was writing stories and poems"
