On Monday 29th July the Year 7/8 girls went to Pioneer Stadium to compete in the Canterbury tournament.

In order to get to Canterbury's the girls had to compete in the Zones Tournament and get 1st or 2nd.  Luckily they got 2nd! 

At Canterbury's there were 4 teams to play against. 

They lost their first game, won their second, lost their third and lastly they won their fourth game!  

The girls ended up getting second in their grade and they had to play the team that got 1st in the other girls grade.  The winner of that game would get into the final for 1st and 2nd.  They sadly lost 14 - 6.  Then they competed in the final for 3rd or 4th place, which unfortunately they lost but they played their hardest. 

But the Year 7/8 girls team is the first team to get into the top 4 at Canterbury's ever at Parkview so congratulations on this achievement.🎉🎉
