The School fun run was on Thursday 9th of May. This was a fundraiser for our school to make it even better than it already is!

So the fun run is a 15 minute long run with obstacles in it.  Two teams went at a time, the whole school gave it a try.  The Piwakawaka and Keruru teams ran together first while the Kotuku and Pukeko teams cheered them on by the sidelines.  While running we had to go through obstacles that were set up around the course.  Once the Piwakawaka and Keruru teams ran, they swapped over with the Kotuku and Pukeko teams and cheered them on from the sidelines.  After everybody had a turn, we came back together and had a talk and a cheer.  Everybody said they really enjoyed it and they hope to do it again!

Yesterday I took part in the school Fun Run and it was a great opportunity for year levels to work together. Lots of people were smiling, laughing and generally having fun.  Having everyone dressed in pajamas/onesies made the event more colourful.  Awesome to see the teachers getting dressed up and also joining in.  Lots of money has been raised for our amazing school. - Alex

We had fun running yesterday during the School Fun Run.  The best parts were the obstacles, to race past your siblings and friends and dressing up in our onesies and pajamas.  It was hot and sweaty and also kind of rainy.  Some people tripped over but they got up and kept on running.  We were all tired at the end but it was awesome. - Cameron/Cole/Zain

The Fun Run was so amazing yesterday and lots of people were tired.  I enjoyed dressing up in my onesie which was Chewbacca.  I ran so fast I forgot to count my laps.  Such a cool day! - Dakota

The Fun Run was cool because I ran with my little cousin who is 5.  We loved putting our pajamas on and running with our friends.  It was very hot and tiring but we had fun.  We have both raised money for our school.  We almost fell asleep when we got home. - Lilly/Lily

The Fun Run was tiring and exhausting.  I dressed up as a blue unicorn and it had a big horn on the top of my head.  The best part was my brother cheering me on.  I ran around the track with my big buddy and also my friends.  I liked that my Mum was there. - Eva
