For Science, the Kōtuku students will be trialling different types of science experiments over the next few weeks.

We started with the Egg drop challenge. They were given: 

• Egg

• 5 pieces of A4 paper

• 2 Balloons

• 4 paper straws

• 5 skewers

• 5 cotton balls

• 100cm of string

• 30 cm of tape

They then had to drop the egg from a height to see if it would break or not. Many of the creations survived to our surprise! 

Next up was the marshmellow catapult! 

They were given: 

* Popsicle sticks x15

* Rubber bands x10

* Plastic spoons x2

The winning team was: Taylor, Luca and Finn with a whopping 535cm!
