The results are in and both primary teachers and principals have voted for full day strike action on Wednesday August 15th. The Board of Trustees has closed the school for the day.

Both groups of members voted by significant majorities in favour of full day strikes on August 15. This is strong endorsement to take collective action together! August 15th will be a National Day of Action.

The full-day strike action on August 15th replaces the planned three-hour strikes. It is 24 years since educators have gone on strike and this is not an action we are taking lightly.

We appreciate that this creates significant inconvenience for families. However, please support our teachers as they strive to achieve the changes which will safeguard quality education for all children and ensure we make teaching an attractive profession for graduates.
