Term 2 comes to a close

Kent McDonald —

It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the year already.

Term 2 has been another busy one at Parkview Pārua School.

Thank you to those parents who were able to make 3 Way Learning Conferences.  It was fantastic to hear such positive feedback and how the students were willing to share their learning.  Mid Year reports were sent out last week which is a great time to reflect on the progress being made.  The teachers did an amazing job in sharing this information with you and we all appreciate their hard work and dedication.

The Uniform Change Team have been working hard in gaining student and staff feedback on possible designs and materials.  The information is beginning to be analysed with a student report currently being written.  Parents and caregivers are also invited to vote on their preferred choices.

The new 9 classroom building is moving along nicely with much of the groundwork completed.  By the time we return from school holidays, I wonder what further progress has been made?

Winter sport is well underway with our sports teams competing at Hagley Park, Rāwhiti Domain and the Youthtown programme here at school.  We have also had students representing Parkview Pārua at the Zone and Canterbury Cross Country as well as the Zone Basketball competition.

Have a fantastic break everyone and we look forward to seeing you all back at the start of Term 3.
