News From The Junior Team
I have really enjoyed meeting up with the tamariki this week as there are some really fun activities happening in both the Piwakawaka and Pukeko teams.
The Piwakawaka are stepping into the world of fairy tales this week. The dress up day today was so much fun. The children have done some amazing work too like the awesome writing and art from a Big Book that Room 16 are making.
The Pukeko team are starting a new program of self-directed learning based on the Polar caps. For the next two weeks they are learning about Antarctica. Yesterday Ellie did a wonderful presentation to all classes about her Dad’s experiences in Antarctica. Well done Ellie!
The Pukeko team have also enjoyed cricket lessons this week…. So great to be able to enjoy the amazing weather!
It is so satisfying for the teachers seeing all of the children enjoying their learning!
