Koru Art in Pukeko

Georgia Hanford —

Tamariki have been inspired by the work of Raewyn Harris.

This term, the Pukeko students have been freshening up their painting skills! Taking inspiration from Kiwi artist Raewyn Harris, students have designed and drawn their own koru patterns which then they needed to paint in various shades of green. Students created their own tonal shades, by mixing green with black or white. It has really added some great dimension and interest to their work.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be looking at warm colours to paint our backgrounds in. This will add contrast and make the art pop!
