Our national earthquake and tsunami drill
On Thursday, the whole school took part in the nationwide Shake Out earthquake and tsunami drill. We practised Drop, Cover and Hold and then made our way to the basketball court area.
In the event of a tsunami, we will stay on site as we are not located in the evacuation zone.
All of New Zealand is at risk of earthquakes and all of our coastline is at risk of tsunami. We cannot predict when they will happen, but we can practise the right action to protect ourselves.
