In a first for Kōtuku, one of our outstanding students has had an illustration published in a national Journal for Young Writers and Artists.

Last year Sienna applied to have her artwork used in Toitoi, a journal for young writers and artists, through her art class last year. 

She was accepted and sent a story, written by another young person, to illustrate. The story was called "The Story of Moon", about a family adopting a cat that turned up on their doorstep. Sienna created an illustration that captured the story beautifully.
