This week we have a newly designed ako theme. Our team has learned to work on our values. These are all of the values we have been learning this year; Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Mahi Tahi and Ako!!

This term we have learned about Ako. We believe in learning from each other and that learning is interactive and connected to the world around us. We have been learning to use kind words.

Another thing we have been learning is P.E.  We have been learning to throw overarm and underarm.  We also have been learning how to be collaborative with people in our team. Students have been trying to move up a poutama level as they have constantly moved across the scale. We have been working really hard on our new maths theme called Probability! Such as certain, likely, even chance, unlikely and impossible.

We have a self charging station so every morning we have to find our names and put it in a little box with feelings that are green, yellow is ok and red is low.

We have also been learning about minecraft. Things we do in minecraft: class work, Te Reo games in minecraft, free time every Friday.  After lunch we usually watch a movie clip or video while we are eating, our new favourite thing to watch is mini cooking.

We also do silent ako, novel or typing practice after Warnings and Exceptions.  Exceptions are people that sit up nice, listen to the teacher and be respectful. If you don’t do those things then you get a verbal warning. If you get three warnings you get moved to another class for the rest of the day or morning.
