Tall Blacks vs Jordan

Pip Warwick —

Many thanks to the Canterbury Rams and Alan Harrison for providing Parkview School with the opportunity to attend the Tall Blacks vs Jordan Basketball game.

On Thursday 29th of November children who participate in the Canterbury Rams mentoring programme and Miniball Competition had the opportunity to attend the Tall Blacks vs Jordan game. The game was held at Horncastle Arena. Tip off was at 7pm and the game concluded just after 9pm.  It was a sell out event.

It was 51-30 at halftime. The tall blacks played their first International basketball game in Christchurch for the first time in 14 years. New Zealand played really well against Jordan winning 95-69. They are now moving closer to booking their World Cup ticket.

A big thanks goes to Alan Harrison for sourcing the tickets for our school. We are really grateful for this opportunity. Alan and his team at the Canterbury Rams work really hard at Parkview School every Monday. They have been providing Parkview School with coaching and mentoring programmes for the past year. We can't wait to have them back in our school next year working their basketball magic!
