Not too long ago, Samuel Clements, Isaac Cooper and Adam Summers represented Parklands in a International Football Tournament, which they were victorious in.

Samuel Clements, Isaac Cooper and Adam Summers, three of our Year 5's, represented Parklands United in the Christchurch International Football Cup over 13-15 July.

The team was coached by Parkview's football team coach, Darren Clements, the 9th Grade Parklands Huskies were able to play and beat the three tournament favourites to come out as Christchurch International Football Cup Champions.

In the first 2 days after 3 games the Huskies were top of the group and still without a loss. They had a very tough game in the quarter finals beating Cashmere Technical 4-3 to move to the semi-finals the following day.

Finals day the Huskies overcame the tournament favourites Maori Hill 4-1 in the Semi-final and moved into the finals later in the day. The final was a great game and the Huskies really hit their straps white washing Aoraki 6-0.
