Kōtuku PE ⚽🏀
For PE this week the students have been focusing on target games like Dodgeball. We also supported and challenged the Zones team for Basketball.
Finn B: On Tuesday, Rooms 23 and 24 went down to the Pukekō Centre hall to play a game of dodgeball. But first they were told to run around the hall 4 times to warm up, then did some arm warming exercises. The students decided to create the rules. We had two medics and if the two medics got out, that would be a point to the other team. They were not allowed to hit people in the head and all shots had to be above the waist, or else they would be out. We also had to make the rule of no throwing too hard as the focus was on accuracy.
As the game progressed the rules changed to no medics and therefore if you were down you couldn’t go back up, so then it was one man standing. It was quite fun and it was also fun to just avoid the balls because that's all I really did. I did throw some balls but I mainly just dodged them because for some reason I’m just really good at that. It was of course also fun for everyone involved.
