Full School Cantamath!
Today the whole school competed in a Cantamath competition, with help from the whānau group and PALS leaders!
Each class/learning team were split into teams of four.
They then worked together to answer a maths problem. When they had an answer, one runner ran around the court, following the arrows to take their answer up to their assigned marker. The marker then was able to say yes or no.
If the answer was a no, the runner had to take the question back to their hoop, to try again.
If the answer was correct, the marker then had to give the runner the next question to take back to their hoop to work on. Groups had to choose a different runner each time and repeat the process until the time was up.
A huge thank you to Mr Fox for all of the time and effort he put into organising such a huge event. It was a great way to end the week. Well done to the Kōtuku leaders for doing such a great job at helping groups and marking questions.
