PCT Police Training Competition!👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Bridie Lancaster-Butcher —

Eight Year 7/8 students were given the opportunity to compete in a police training competition against other local schools.

Last Tuesday, eight students had the opportunity to compete in the PCT Blue Light Training Course. There were two teams of four students.  Four Year 7's and four Year 8's participated in the PCT course and a few fun games that were ran by Youthtown and a couple of other companies.

The eight students who participated on Tuesday were, in the Year 7 team Caylah Brown, Kaylah Wheeler, JP Westerland and Tai Lush. The Year 8 team there was Bridie Lancaster-Butcher, Trinity Edwards-Rea,  Lucas Wilson and Tauvale Thomas Aupaau.  All the competitors had a ball, it was an amazing day!  All the activities pulled us all closer together and taught us the rolls of team work and what a big part it has in our every day life.

The winning team with the fastest time on the PCT course, had the chance to travel to Wellington to a police camp and had the chance to compete in more training.

Thank you to Mr Fox, Mr T and the parents who came along to help out and support our great school.
