On Tuesday the 17th of September some Year 7/8 students went to Lincoln to compete in Koru Games. Koru Games is a 3 day tournament for Year 7/8 kids.

We entered two teams.

A Ki o rahi team and a netball team.  We left school at around 8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. 

The Ki o rahi team played 8 games and won 7.  Sadly in the one game that would get them into the final for 1st and 2nd they lost.  So they ended up playing for 5th and 6th and won, meaning overall they placed 5th. 

The netball team had a lot more people in their grade. They played 10 games and won 3.  We didn't find out what place they got. 

All the students that went to Koru Games had so much fun playing sport and meeting new people. Both teams did great and all the Year 8's wish the Year 7's luck for next year.
