Kia ora School Whanau!😁 Two weeks ago the Redesign Team sent out a pink slip to all Parkview families about renaming our School.

We had 125 survey responses which was awesome!  The winning families were the Wilkie's, Lavender's,  Matsumoto's and Herrett's.  Each of these families won a $50  Fresh Choice voucher. Congratulations! 

The responses were spread over a number of options with strong support for our bird theme, Parua, the Maori name for nest. Our students favourite was Parklands Beach School and parents liked Parkview School /Te Kura o Parkview and Parua Parkview School.  Our teachers liked Parklands Parua School.

We now plan to meet with Ngai Tahu to come up with a smaller number of options that bring together the feedback and ideas from the first survey.  The Redesign Team will work on reducing the options for another survey next term.  

The Redesign Team will also start meeting with groups of students from across the school to get ideas for a logo which supports our nest theme.  These ideas will then be presented to a graphic designer by the team. 

The Team is really excited about being part of the future of our awesome school and they hope they can make a greater school for all that come here.
