Tī Rākau in Kererū

Connie Palmer - June 6, 2024

For Te Reo this term, the students of Kererū have been learning Tī Rākau.

Students have been mastering their hand eye coordination while singing along to E Papa Waiari our waiata. Tī Rākau needs plenty of patience to learn all the moves, patterns and even tossing and catching their rākau with a buddy. I have been really impressed with their determination, sense of rhythm and passion each week to keep working on these skills. Here are a few pictures of Tī Rākau in action!
