This week Rooms 10, 11 and 16 had their camp at Waipara Adventure Centre. We had a great time and were lucky enough to have fabulous weather. Here are some words from our tamariki about what they enjoyed:

Camp was a great experience for the year 5/6 team- James

Camp was a great time for bonding and having fun with our friends- Jordyn

I liked sky sailing because it made me a little bit scared at first but then it became fun and I liked going down fast it felt like a bungee jump! it was the greatest thing I’ve ever been on I felt like I jumped off a cliff- Ayaan

At camp there were a lot of great activities that put us out of our comfort zone- McKenzie

It was nice to mix with other children we don't normally play with. - Zac.B

I really liked the sky sailing, the first time I went I was really scared but the second time I ran down. I also liked the scavenger hunt we did at the start on the first day, we all helped each other and got along well. Tyson

Camp was an amazing place to try new things, I loved Sky sailing!!- Elizabeth

My favourite part of camp was the concert, everybody was awesome and we cheered each other on. - Leonjay

I really like camp and I loved sky sailing it was my favourite activity that I had done. We all got to have two turns at sky sailing, I was the first to go on it in my group. I was a little scared the first time I went to do it but then I got up and walked off then the next time I did it I run off - Rongomai

I loved archery because we tried to hit balloon targets for points. - Lucy

I really liked archery because it was fun and I liked trying new things. I was good at it! - Jasmine H

I really liked the water slide because it was fast and wet it really cools you down when it was a hot day. Another activity that I liked on camp was sky sailing I had to get a harness and attach a zip line to the back of my harness then I have to slip off a really big cliff, it was very scary as I am scared of heights. - Manaaki

My favourite activity was kayaking. I got to work on skills I learnt when I had tried it before. - Blaine

I really liked Stairway to Heaven (crate stacking), it was fun to try as I had never done it before. - Savannah
