It has been a fabulous start to the term...

Today we held a Powhiri to welcome a large number of new students to our lovely school.  These students have all joined us since our last Powhiri and were welcomed with song and a hongi or high five.  Our Kapa Haka roupu did a great job and are now able to perform without our tutor.  We are very proud of them😄

We plan to hold a powhiri at the start of each term and a final celebration assembly at the end of the term, all weather dependent unfortunately😟.  The lack of a hall makes it very challenging to schedule assemblies and we understand parents would love to come.  We will do our very best to communicate dates and times for the next assembly.

At the Powhiri children shared their learning on our inquiry topic "Change" and the audience loved it.  We had butterfly songs, learned about brain science, swan plants and stages of growth which were all very interesting.  Our students were fantastic!

This term we excitedly await the start of our building upgrade and once underway we will keep you informed of progress.  Sadly we won't get a hall, but we will get a major improvement.  Have an awesome term and thank you again for your amazing support🤠.
