On the 23rd of October the Kotuku team went to Wainui for their camp!

They left school around 9:15am and arrived at the camp site around 11:30am. The adults and kids sorted out their cabins and then got ready for their first activity.  

For their activites they were in groups...

• Team yellow 
• Team orange
• Team purple 
• Team blue
• Team red
• Team green

They did these activities...

• Kayaking
• Orienteering 
• High ropes
• Raft building 
• Cemetery walk

On the first night the kids played colours! Here is how you play it... there are three colours - yellow, orange and pink. Yellow was chasing orange, orange was chasing pink and pink was chasing yellow. Basically there are three bases, one for each team. You take your player ( that you tagged) into the base, then they put a stripe of the new colour on their face. Now they are part of you team. - Freya
