Football experience for our future female football stars comes to Parkview Pārua.

On Wednesday, our fabulous girls from Years 3-8 had the chance to participate in a footballing skills session with players and coaches from the Canterbury United Pride team.

Organised by Alana Gunn from Mainland Football, it was an opportunity for our girls to experience football, learn some new skills, and get information about a new initiative, the Fantails Hub (https://www.mainlandfootball.co.nz/fantails)

Leading into the Women’s Football World Cup being held in New Zealand and Australia in the next few months, it was awesome to be able to get these highly skilled footballers to our school to teach our students. 

The girls did a range of activities and football drills, and judging by the smiling faces, they all had a fun time and learned some new tricks to try on the football field.
