Fizzing Friday.

Shae Hawkins —

This week the Kererū cooking groups made scones using a super simple recipe that included LEMONADE...

Our task this week was to make scones for all of our wonderful staff for morning tea, due to time restriction we had to find a quick and easy recipe. That is where Lemonade scones came to the rescue! This recipe only has three ingredients, 3 1/5  cups of self raising flour, 1 cup of cream and 1 cup of lemonade.

The groups worked amazingly together to produce lovely fluffy scones which we sent to each of our four teams along with some jam and freshly whipped cream.

Once the teachers had their scones it was time for a quick clean up  then it was time to sit down and enjoy what they had made.

Lizzy - I really enjoyed the reaction from the teachers when we took their scones to them. It made me feel happy that they enjoyed it.

Alex - I enjoyed kneading the dough but I really like putting heaps of cream on my scones!

Kaydince - I like watching the scones baking in the oven and I had fun whipping the cream by hand.
