Pink Shirt Day!

Aysha Young —

Today Parkview Pārua School had a Pink Day to support Anti-Bullying Week

Today was National Pink Shirt Day and students had the option to wear something pink or school uniform.  No money was needed as this wasn't a fundraising event, it was more about raising awareness. This theme was quite popular among our students who were all for supporting  being kind.  People and schools throughout New Zealand are also wearing pink to support and promote being kind to each other.

It was so cool to see the teachers also taking part. We saw pink ties, hats, wigs and many other pink items of clothing. Such a great thing for our school to do to remind everyone that this is such a caring place to be.
