In the jungle I can hear the birds chirping and the rain pouring. I could hear a storm coming so the sky was going to turn black. There was crystal clear water as it shimmered in the sun and animals love drinking from the water. I could hear elephants, giraffes and zebras stomping through the jungle. There was a shimmering river and it probably led to another crystal clear lake. There was wind so strong that it could be a tornado and lifting everything up trees were swaying with their branches and sometimes trees can stay up for years and years. Plants are a very important part of the environment that is why they became lush in the jungle, animals love plants because they eat the plants so that they can live.

As I was walking home I found a haunted house. Lightning danced across the sky I opened the gate...CREAK it was so loud. I could see some footprints. I followed them they lead me to a door I looked up there was a sign it said… do not enter. I started to shiver, I was so scared I screamed and ran away.

I could hear gargoyles calling my name. I went inside… I could hear a ghost screaming wooooo and skeleton bones cracking. I rushed outside and I heard trees chatting to each other they were saying how cold it was. The wind was whistling and it was making the leaves rustle.

Sitting in front of the mirror on her knees, bones showed vividly through the thin skin on her back. Black silk adorned her slim figure as she stared at her reflection. Confidently, the young female raised a boney finger to the glass and tapped it, in reply the mirror rippled back like a gentle current. Her other hand loosened its grip on the fabric of her dress slightly, she wasn’t sure what had worried her so much, what had made anxiety fill her stomach, almost to the point where she wanted to turn around.

Tapping the mirror once again, but with two fingers this time, the ripple effect became stronger, stretching out towards the edge more. Her bones eased, what had happened the previous night was all in her head, a simple, no, wait, intricate, hallucination. A sigh escaped her lips, a relaxed, at ease, sound. But she wanted to make sure.

I sat staring into space until I noticed something. In the corner of the room I saw something sparkle. A twinkle of light. I half crawled half walked towards it when I noticed how it was different. It was crystal clear and spotless. Not a single speck of dust. The mirror reflected me perfectly. My dark brown eyes and hair, my black backless dress and my bare dust covered feet. I knelt down and touched it. My finger sent ripples through the whole mirror. How? Why? What was it?
