At Amberley Tennis Club (ATC), we are open for registrations!

We see ATC as the North Canterbury hub for servicing Amberley North for competition and coaching opportunities for Tennis in North Canterbury.
We have a registered Professional for coaching and are the furthest club North offering team entry into the North Canterbury Tennis competitions. Subject to grants we have had heavily subsidised coaching to kids for some years now which has led to a revival in the sport locally here and some great players coming through. Hopefully we can do this again this 2021-2022 year:-)

I’m sure there are a lot of players both young and old wanting to get out and involved in some sort of sport after what seems like a long winter. Picking up a racket and popping down to ATC is a great option:-)

We’re NOT planning a traditional big opening day this year with BBQ etc. due to the current lockdown restrictions, but are we are still intending to have a social hit next Saturday for all to attend.

Social hit and registration: Please come along for a hit and a catch up on Saturday 25th September and we can put you into a team or sort out coaching for the season.

Juniors from 10am and Adults from 1pm.

We request that everyone complies with the government’s contact tracing policy and signs in on the day. We will limit the attendance to 100 persons for the outdoor event and will be following the L2 protocols as required.

Please bring your masks for any spectators/parents.

It should still be a great day and we hope to see you there.

If you can’t make it please email me to confirm your daughter/son’s interest in playing, coaching or competition this year. 

Competition players: We are looking for numbers this year to make up some short teams in all the grades. We are particularly interested if there’s any A graders out there wanting to play some great competition tennis and put Amberley on the map again this year :-)

We are always looking for the more mature players (35YO) for President competition grade 1 & 2 (doubles only) players to make up the teams even if you only wish to play casually. It often helps. 

As for social gatherings we will work that one out soon, but it’s a little complicated with the L2 thing going on at the moment…..
