Term 3 conclusion....

Jared Kelly —

Kia ora te whānau,

What a jumbled Term it has been but despite this it am stoked with the mahi that our students have done this term and the commitment our staff have shown, to keep things as steady as possible for our students.

We look forward to a busy term 4 with many of those exciting events, such as school camps, big day in, parent interviews, water fight and obviously heaps of awesome learning.

We will be releasing our new reporting process this term which we believe will give parents a simple and accurate picture of where their child sits in relation to the curriculum whilst also outlining current learning goals. Di will be sending out further details closer to the time about what to expect and how to understand the new format. As always our heaviest value is placed on meaningful conversations so ensuring you sign up to meet your child's homeroom teacher and talk through the information you have received.

During the non-contact break, staff will be engaging in some professional development. We will be implementing a new maths programme in 2022. This new model aligns more closely with our schools' philosophy. It will also bring consistency to how we teach maths across the school. This is a hot topic nationally, so to be ahead of the curve and implementing an approach we will have a significant impact on our learners is really positive.

We hope all the tamariki have an awesome break and come back refreshed for term  4!

Keep safe

Jared Kelly
