Te Kōhaka

Ali Hornblow —

Ask your tamariki who Henry and Edward Williams were. Why Queen Victoria wanted the Treaty, and what sides did Rewa and Hone Heke take?

As you can see from the questions above it is clear that we have been doing a lot of research into Te Tiriti o Waitangi in literacy and mathematics. We have been super impressed with the questions and discussion we have had in class (see if your child can tell you how much money exchanged hands for the entire South Island between 1844 and 1864).

Our Native bird art has taken flight! We are impressed with the creativity of our tamariki - We look forward to sharing these when they are completed via Seesaw.

Technology - We have had positive feedback from Technology about your child/ren's first day back, which is fantastic to see our year 8's stepping up and showing our school values within the community.

Shirts - These have been given out, however if you require a 2nd shirt please email Mrs Hornblow. The cost of these is around $50 which will be added to your account

Sausages - This is now up and running and it would be great to see more year 8's ordering a sausage as the profits contribute to the year 8's activities such as Leavers dinner, restaurants, Year 8 day out.

Ngā mihi nui,

Ali and Anna
