Pink Crusade/Annual School Cross Country

Jen Loffhagen —

Pink Shirt Day Crusade and Annual School Cross Country

Friday 20th of May

Year 4-8 children will walk to Pegasus Lake at 12.45 pm. The year 0-3 children will walk to the lake at approx 1 pm.

Those children who have opted in to compete in our Annual Competitive Cross Country will start their race at 1.00 pm. Year 7/8 will start at the Good Home and Year 5/6 will start to the left of our finish line shortly after about 1.05 pm. The Year 7/8 runners will be joined by the Year 5/6 runners to finish the race.

The rest of the school will meet at the finish line to support these competitive runners when they come over the finish line.

The rest of the school cross country/pink crusade will commence across varying distances depending on age group. Approximately 2km for Years 4-8 and approximately 1km for Years 0-3. This is about fun and giving it a go, so everyone is encouraged to run as much as they can, all the way to the finish line with their buddies.

The Crusade starts with Years 0-3 starting near the lake playground. The Crusade will finish with the Year 5 to 8 students starting to the left of the finish line. The finish line will be at the same spot, which is just Northwest of the bridge under our school gazebo. This is a great spot to see all the runners come in.

The children will remain with their syndicates, however, if parents wish to take their child/ren home they must check in with their homeroom teacher. If you have been asked by a parent to take their child home, this needs to be organised with the Homeroom teacher prior to the day via email.

Mr. Whippy and a coffee van will be there.

Please remember a donation for our Parent Support Group. This can be given to homeroom teachers in the morning.

The postponement date will be later in the term.
