Celebrate Matariki with fun navigation themed workshops these school holidays.

Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre is working with Māori artists to mark Matariki throughout the school holidays, 3 - 20 Hōngongoi July. 

For tamariki and whānau, there are workshops (free- $10 per child) making whetū harakeke (flax stars), purerehua (bullroarer instruments), navigation charts, and manu tukutuku (traditional kites). The theme of our festival is all about navigation.
