Art Show Committee —

Here's what you need to know for next week...

  • The gym and the student common are not available to be used after Wednesday (sorry).
  • Kelly Club will be operating out of the staffroom on both Thursday and Friday afternoons - so the staffroom will be unavailable from 2.30 pm both days (sorry, again)
  • Library books will be moved through to the boardroom/staffroom area on Wednesday afternoon
  • The art panels are being delivered on Thursday morning, and should be ready for you to start putting your art on after morning tea
  • Each learning space has 2 sides of a panel (e.g. Rakahuri and Waikuku have 4 sides in total).
  • As previously advised, the panels are oriented portrait style and are 2300mm high x 1200mm wide.  We may have some extra panels if you've miscalculated your space
  • Velcro dots are the best way to attach the art (we've ordered lots for you).  NO STAPLES
  • The artists are coming in on Thursday night and Friday morning to hang their works.  We'll let you know when it's all up and you can bring your children through for a (careful, non-touching!) look if you'd like
  • We'll have some forms and pens there on Friday afternoon so that children who want to can choose their favourite piece of art for a "children's choice" award for the artist.  The one with the most votes on Friday afternoon will be awarded a BIG bag of lollies from the kids on opening night.
  • Please come to the show!  If you can't make opening night, please come over the weekend - and bring your friends and family.  This is our big fundraiser for this year - so the more support we get the better!
  • The show ends at 4pm on Sunday, and all the art needs to be removed.  We'll take your ALS art down for you and leave it in piles in the staffroom so you can collect it on Monday morning.
  • If you have any questions -  please ask one of the art show committee - Paula, Micky, Corinda, Dedrie, Rosie, Kevin and Jared.

Fingers crossed it's a successful event and we reach our target!
