Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori: Next week is Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori and the team are in full celebration mode with some extra activities. These include flax weaving, ALS waiata singing, a Kahoot kupu quiz and a Seesaw activity that will be shared with whānau.

Buddies: With buddies also happening in Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, the big buddies will be teaching the little buddies some kupu via a fun dice game. The little buddies are really looking forward to this as buddy time is a great favourite among the tamariki.

Health: The team continue with their unit on the Zones of Regulation. The focus has moved on to actions the children can take to move from the "red zone" (angry and mad). The tamariki have tried mandala colouring, body scans, tummy breathing, exercise and movement. Next week, the tamariki will look at Hikitia te hā. This is a traditional Māori breathing and mindfulness sequence. This will allow the children to become more aware of te hā (the breath) and be more present in each moment.

Y3 Camp: Can all Y3 parents please ensure that they have completed the camp permission slip that has been sent via Hero. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with Miss Matthews: emilymatthews@pegasusbay.school.nz.

Lego Day is THIS Friday 16th September: Please ensure that your tamaiti have purchased their tickets. For $5 your tamaiti will get to play with thousands of pieces of LEGO, making all sorts of wonderful creations. Please take your money to the office in a named envelope by Wednesday 14th September so they don't miss out.

Newsletter Art: This week the newsletter art comes from Sienna. This digi art was designed as part of the Whitebait Waiata artwork. It is very striking and powerful.
