The Waimakariri Youth Council is running a community river cleanup on Saturday the 21st of September from 10 am to 1 pm. Join us for World Rivers Day for a family-friendly river clean up and make a positive impact on the local environment!

This event is being held on the Ashley/ Rakahuri River (Merton Road: Groyne 2 Parking area behind the airfield).

Safety briefing starts at 10 am and there will be a free sausage sizzle afterwards. 

NOTE: Under 16s will need to be accompanied by a caregiver

Please bring: Sturdy shoes | Gloves | Weather appropriate clothing | Drink bottle.
