Kia kaha Te reo Māori!

Sonya Faisst —

Māori Language Week celebrates the presentation of the Māori Language Petition to Parliament on the 14th September 1972. It has been marked every year since 1975. This year, in particular, is special as it marks 50 years.

Here at Te Kura o Manga Kawari we see every week as Māori language week. However at 12pm on Wednesday we will all sing Tūtira mai in our ALS to acknowledge the handing over of the petition to Parliament. There will be a school-wide kahoot as well. So practise up on classroom objects tamaraki mā!

Karawhiua! Give it heaps!
