Kia ora whānau! Welcome to term 3. I hope the holidays were great and the kids a rearing to go.

 All the teams have been in working hard in preparation for an exciting term which includes the Pegasus Bay art show, year 8 camp, production and athletics. Where does the year go! 

The theme for this term is 'Navigating the journey'. As always each team has interpreted this concept in their own unique way and woven it through the learning and teaching ahead in each ALS. 

You may have noticed plenty of building action around the school. This includes a new office space on the other side of the school which will be my new office. New toilet accesses and the radio station has new doors to open the space up to be more of a performance space as well as the radio station. You will also see a new climbing area and some slides appear before the end of this term.

Finally, we are welcoming some new staff to kura. Sandy Watson is working 2 days a week in Peka Peka, Jenny Hood is working 1 day a week in Maungatere and Dan, who we introduced in the last newsletter, he is the new homeroom teacher in the new entrants.

We are looking forward to seeing all the kids back! Have a great term!
