Yesterday Matua Maaka came and taught us our new waiata for kura that he has written for us.

Maaka Tau is an exceptional guitar player and kapa haka tutor.  He used to teach kapa haka, but now is very busy working for Ngāi Tahu.  We are incredibly fortunate to have him come and teach us when he has time.

At the moment only the senior rōpū is involved but eventually, all the tamariki at kura will learn it.
