Community tree planting

Kia ora e te whānau,

Tuhātara coastal park has sent a few community planting dates for us to become involved in. A great way to meet other people, whilst being kaitiaki. Adele is the coordinator for these events and I have added her contact details below.

We have our first community tree planting this weekend. Please come and join us…We’re planting a forest of Ngaio!

Weather permitting, the planting will run from 10am-12pm.

Here are the details…

When: Sunday 19 June. 10am - 12pm.

Location: Transect Project - Pine woodland off Pegasus horse trail

Meeting point: The Transect via Tūtaepatu Trail. Entry into the park at the end of Tiritiri Moana Drive, Pegasus. Staff will be at the gate entrance to direct you.

What to bring:
Please bring your own work gloves, and clothing suited to the weather.

The Trust will supply spades and refreshments.

A couple of other planting dates for your diary…

Friday 22 July. 10am - 12pm.

Location: Kaitiritiri Ridge. Pegasus.

Meeting point: Corner of Infinity Drive and Solander Road, Pegasus.

Sunday 31 July. 10am - 12pm.

Location: Transect Project - Tutaepatu trail.

Meeting point: The Transect via Tūtaepatu Trail. Entry into the park at the end of Tiritiri Moana Drive, Pegasus. Staff will be at the gate entrance to direct you.
