Make a plan!
Kia ora e te whānau
Every now and then we have instances where parents have been late to pick up their children - and it happens, we get it. However, on some occasions, the children haven't known what do to and this can cause upset.
Please can you have a chat at home, and let your children know that if you're not where you've said you'll be after school to meet them - they need to come to the office and let Corinda and Dedrie know.
Let them know not to wait out the front of school, or in the playground - or anywhere else - just come to the office first. That way we can make sure they're feeling safe, and we can give you a call to find out your ETA - or the new plan.
We have a 'message book' at the office where you can phone in during the day to leave a message for your child if your pick-up plans change. We will try to pass messages on, but messages can't logistically be passed on after 2pm as that would leave the office empty.
If you see a child looking a bit lost after school, and they let you know their parent is not here - please ask them to come to the office. Accompanying them in if you have time would be appreciated.
It is not OK to offer someone else's child a lift home or a ride in your car to look for their parents unless you have FIRST contacted that parent yourself and asked for - and received - their permission.
If you're regularly struggling to get to school in time for pick up (3pm Monday to Thursday and 2.45pm on a Friday), then you can book them in with Kelly Club. They can have some afternoon tea and a bit of fun before you get here!
