Rakahuri and Waikuku Pānui
WOW! What a stunning term of learning! We have achieved so much; mask making, cultural narrative, wrybirds, North Canterbury Sports, concerts, Nick Ledgard from Rakahuri Rivercare visit, learning our mihi, wheels day, Maths No Problem journey, buddy time, book week, structured literacy learning, wacky hair day; there are too many things to mention! The children can now take a well deserved break and relax up.
A massive thank you to the amazing teaching team, admin staff, SLT, support staff for always going that wee bit extra for our ākonga. Thank you very much to you the community for all your support. And we look forward to doing it all again in Term 2!

Coming up in Term 2:
Thank you: A massive thank you to the McBride family for the kind donation of pencils for the ALS. Pencils always go missing and we are looking forward to using these in Term 2.
Waiswim: Please ensure you have completed your Waiswim permission slip. If you are able to parent help at the swimming pool please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
Hot kai: is available in Term 2. This is when we we re-heat pre-cooked food for lunches in each of our ALS's for lunch.
Food needs to be defrosted, pre-cooked, and wrapped in foil (or an oven proof dish) and clearly named.
Sun hats: are not needed in Term 2
Cross country: This takes place early in Term 2 so any practice over the holidays will be helpful
