Room 21's topic this term focused on 'pets'.

We were lucky enough to have visits from dogs, a kitten, turtle and rabbit. We have even adopted Norman the goldfish! Some of us took the trip to Animates to choose some accessories for Norman's fish bowl, he loves to hide inside his yellow submarine! We've had great fun learning about how to care for each pet and have used a animal classification chart each week to discuss the features of each pet. We incorporated our topic into our play based learning sessions, the highlights were making shadow puppets and investigating a real trout!
