Let's Talk About ... Sleep with Sleep Insight

Graeme Eastwood —

In September 2024, we held whānau & professionals sessions about Understanding and Enhancing Sleep in Children with Neurodevelopmental Conditions

Understanding and Enhancing Sleep in Children with Neurodevelopmental Conditions

In these sessions, we delved into common sleep challenges faced by children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions, such as difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, and daytime sleepiness. We discussed barriers to a restful night and ways to optimise sleep health. Led by an expert in sleep health Dr Jolene Hunter, this talk will provided actionable tips to help the children in your care achieve better sleep.

Dr Jolene Hunter and Professor Laurie McLay are co-founders of Sleep Insight, a specialist service providing sleep support for autistic children and young people.

Ngā mihi nui / Massive thanks to Joelene, Laurie and all the whānau and staff that were able to attend Let's Talk About... Sleep last week.
