Seesaw at Pītau-Allenvale
Seesaw enables a powerful learning loop between students, teachers, and whānau to be created.
Seesaw is a communication tool that allows students to share their learning and whānau to connect through the family app. Each student at Pītau-Allenvale has their own learning journal containing posts that they have either created themselves or that have been posted on their behalf. These journals enable families to view their child's activities, make audio or typed comments and find out more about what is happening at school. Students love to read the comments their whānau have left on their work.
In 2021, Pītau-Allenvale started reporting using Seesaw. Reporting in this way provides an opportunity for whānau to view real-time reports as their tamaiti (child) participates through the term. Whānau can identify a reporting post by the turquoise blue folder tagged at the bottom called 'Reporting'.
We are excited to have whānau partnering with us in this learning journey. Please contact your classroom teacher if you are not yet connected to Seesaw or need any assistance.
