Rm 7 Colour Monster Mural

Sharon Utteridge —

Colours can represent emotions and this was the main theme of learning during Term 1, a beautiful artwork creation has been the final culmination of this theme.

Our mural on the emotional colours of the shared story 'The Colour Monster' is complete. Following the principles of PB4L the class have read, learned, shared, created, engaged in, and completed a fantastic mural of Artwork which is on display down the main office block hallway for the rest of the school to share.

Whether a student voices that they are feeling red-angry, blue-sad, purple-scared, pink-love, green-calm or yellow-happy, we acknowledge them all. Acknowledging Positive Behaviour is at our forefront. It is a transferable skill and one our students can use in class and at home.

I would like to especially thank Louise, Lisa and Barbie for continuing with the artwork and for bringing their own creative skills to the artwork which made it more exciting and engaging for the Room 7 students.

There is also a smaller version of this mural displayed in Room 7 for the students and staff to enjoy.
