Empowering Students in Room 10: Nurturing the School Value of Ora through Active Learning and Friendship

Carrie Aldridge —

In Room 10, students thrive in their learning while embracing the values of ora: a healthy, fit, and active lifestyle. They have participated in the school cross country event, explored new playgrounds and enjoyed regular visits to the Big Fun Gym.

In Room 10, learning is a joyful experience! Our students are learning the importance of keeping their bodies healthy, fit, and active through our school value of Ora.

This term, we participated in the school cross country event. It was a great day with them all participating and doing their best as they raced towards the finish line. They truly embraced the challenge and displayed great sportsmanship.

We also have been encouraging our students to explore new playgrounds and engage in various physical activities outside the classroom. This helps them develop their gross motor skills, coordination, and overall well-being. Whether it's climbing, swinging, or playing a game of tag, they are always excited to discover new ways to stay active.

Another favorite activity among our students is going to the Big Fun Gym. This provides them with a space to engage in climbing, swinging, obstacle courses, and trampoline sessions. Not only do they enjoy the thrill and excitement of these activities, but they also improve their strength, balance, and agility in the process.

In Room 10, we believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. It helps to keep us regulated. We are proud of their enthusiasm for learning and their commitment to leading an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
