The students and staff in Room 5 have been busy making their very own music video over the past few weeks.

If you have recently visited Room 5, you may have seen us dancing, singing (and most likely laughing) in front of some big, green sheets. We have been using green screen technology to make a musical number about Numicon - our school wide multi sensory maths system.

The students are really enjoying using Numicon in their games, play and even in some of their cooking sessions. This way of teaching is supportive to all children, but particularly those requiring a visual, hands-on style.

It has been a huge team effort to make this video, with many of us stepping a little out of our comfort zones, but we all agree it has been worth it. Unfortunately, the whole class wasn't in attendance on the final filming day, but don't worry, a new song is currently being written about communication, and those who missed out this time will be sure to be given lead roles.
