Hey there, wonderful people!

I hope this message finds you all in high spirits and with a smile on your face. I must share with you the fantastic news from our School Cross Country event that took place on July 19th. It was an absolutely amazing day filled with excitement and some truly remarkable achievements. You won't believe the records that were set!

The weather was absolutely perfect - clear skies, a frosty field, and just the right temperature for some good old-fashioned running. Our enthusiastic participants, student Burnside helpers, whanau and staff, were ready to show off their running skills and give it their all.

And boy, did they deliver! We witnessed some outstanding performances that left us all in awe. Not only were personal bests shattered, but new records were set this year. It's incredible to see how much effort and hard work these athletes put into the day.

From the very start, the participants showcased determination, perseverance, and  true grit. They pushed their limits and inspired each other along the way, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and support like no other.

Our cheers could be heard echoing through the surrounding fields as these incredible athletes sprinted towards the finish line. The energy and excitement were contagious, and the joy on their faces as they achieved their goals was simply priceless.

As we celebrated their accomplishments, it was clear that this event was not just about breaking records or just finishing the race. It was about fostering a sense of community, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle, and building friendships that will last a lifetime.  It is great when our school community can come together.

A big round of applause to every participant, whether you set a new record or simply conquered your own personal goals. You all deserve recognition for your hard work, determination, and sportsmanship.

Let's carry this positivity and spirit into our future endeavors, as we continue to support and uplift each other. Together, we can accomplish great things.
