Frequently Asked Questions
Are Tētēkura students still pupils of Pītau-Allenvale?
Yes. The students at Tētēkura are still enrolled at Pītau-Allenvale School.
Our goal is for Tētēkura to be a fully collaborative site with Ferndale Te Ahu. This means that students will work with staff and students from both schools.
While a Pītau-Allenvale student may have classes (e.g. cooking, enterprise) with Ferndale Te Ahu staff, one of our teachers will have the ultimate oversight of that student's programme and Good Life Plan.
What uniform do students wear?
Students at Tētēkura are not required to wear a uniform.
How does the SESTA transport work?
Students at that travel in taxis (using SESTA) will travel directly to Tētēkura. They will often share taxi runs with students from Ferndale Te Ahu.
