Seesaw reporting at Pītau-Allenvale

Megan Poultney —

At Pītau-Allenvale we report on student progress and achievements via Seesaw.

Over the next few weeks, your student's teacher will be completing their reporting in Seesaw. We urge you to log in and check your student's journal to see all the wonderful things that they are achieving.

Whānau can look for the blue reporting folder on a post. This identifies a reporting post compared to a celebration post in the Seesaw journal.

In a reporting post, the teacher statement will tell you what your student has been working on, how they are progressing, and what their next steps are.

All report comments are only tagged to your student, which means that other classmates and parents cannot see these reporting posts.

This would be a great time for you also to leave a comment, letting your student know that you have seen the post in their journal and something that you like about it.

There are different ways that you can leave feedback. Clicking on the heart button shows your student that you have seen their work and liked it. We would love it if you also added a comment to the reporting post.

You can enter text by typing in the box, but did you know that you can also leave a voice comment? This is a great tool when you are busy and on the go - just click on the comment box then click the microphone to leave a voice comment.

Students always love reading and hearing the comments left on their Seesaw posts and many teachers share these weekly with their classes.

We look forward to seeing whānau engaging and commenting on student progress via Seesaw.
