Enjoying Ora with Team Kākāpō
Ora is all about having healthy habits that promote a healthy body and a happy mind. We start our day with exercise by participating in the whole school fitness walking programme. We add in lots of other movement during the day. We have been very fortunate to have Nicole's expertise in sports as she has been including lots of sports activities on her two days as class teacher. Some of us have participated in yoga for the first time this term, with yoga tutor Zoe. This has been so successful, and so much fun.
We constantly work on developing skills that allow us to be as independent as we can be in looking after ourselves. This includes personal hygiene habits, learning about what to wear for different weather, and also how to manage when are not feeling our best. Ora can also include how to be safe in different situations.
Ora is such an awesome Value to work on. Staff and students have all worked on this together. We are so proud of the effort everyone has put into their health and fitness this year.
